Clinical Communications Industry Veteran to Advance Healthcare Organization’s Mobility Initiatives with an Outcomes-First Approach
SAN DIEGO – January 17, 2019 – PatientSafe Solutions, an innovation leader in mobile Clinical Communication & Collaboration (CC&C) solutions, announced today that Kathleen Harmon, MS, RN, CENP, has joined the company as Chief Clinical Officer. Bringing more than 30 years of nursing and executive experience to PatientSafe, Kathleen will be responsible for setting the clinical vision for the company. Her unique, holistic, outcomes-driven approach will help transform care delivery through mobility initiatives that can improve an organization’s financial health, clinician satisfaction, and patient-centric care.

Kathleen Harmon joins PatientSafe from Sphere3, where she served as Chief Nurse Executive. In that role, she was responsible for clinical leadership, development of clinical collaboration workflows, and leveraging clinical communication data to provide holistic, meaningful information at the point of care. Prior to Sphere3, Kathleen served as Chief Nursing Executive at Burwood Group and led the healthcare practice by focusing on clinical communication strategy, deployments, and achieving desired outcomes in top academic teaching systems and large IDNs.

Kathleen Harmon holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Healthcare Administration and Organizational Leadership from Concordia University. She received her nursing degree from Finlandia University. She holds AONE’s Certified in Executive Nursing Practice credentials. She’s a frequent author and speaker on CC&C solution design, deployment and outcomes management.
