Position Overview:

The iOS Engineer will be a member of a highly motivated team. This role will develop, maintain, and help support innovative solutions in an enterprise environment to enhance our customer experience. The person that succeeds in this role will be excited about improving clinical care communication, eager to work with cross functional peers and be able to thrive in fast-paced agile environment.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop high quality software solutions in collaboration with product management, engineering leadership, quality assurance, and clinical specialists
  • Support enterprise application deployments through tier 3 support, troubleshooting, documentation, and patching/release
  • Active participant in agile process
  • Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams, senior architects, and management
  • Assist in task planning, decomposition, estimation, and scheduling
  • Remain current on new technologies and impacts of updates to existing dependencies (e.g. iOS updates and their impact/potential)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Deep familiarity/production experience with Objective C
  • Experience with Agile software development practices and tools
  • Strong object-oriented design/programming skills
  • Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and trade-off analysis
  • Experience/understanding of concurrency and resilient implementation
  • Experience working with REST APIs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to participate in occasional pair programming sessions as a means of knowledge transfer/context sharing
  • BS in Computer Science or related degree

  • Familiarity/working knowledge of SQL databases
  • Experience working with remote teams

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
  • Minimum five (5) years of software engineering experience including experience supporting a commercial product
  • Strong experience developing Enterprise Java in a production environment
  • Experience with an IoC technology (e.g. Spring) or understanding of value provided
  • Experience with ORM technologies (e.g. JPA, Hibernate) or understanding of value provided
  • Experience and commitment to automated testing and associated technologies/approaches
  • Experience with a modern JavaScript framework
  • Experience with a modern RDBMS: SQLServer, Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, etc.
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Solid database design and data mapping experience
  • A working understanding of OO design principles and common design patterns
  • Experience with a modern messaging middleware
